BELOBOX Networks

BELOBOX Networks began as a Real-Time System Integrator in the 1980’s.

BELOBOX started business with its Distributed Computing Operating System designed for time-critical, real-time applications. BELOBOX evolved into a major West Coast System Integrator of Motorola VME Single Board Computers and shipped systems based on Commercially-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) modules around the world replacing mainframe computers in critical real-time applications.

This business evolved into designing and manufacturing gigabit real-time fiber-optic network hardware in the 1990’s for both commercial and military applications. The network is fault-tolerant, damage-tolerant, and self-healing supporting single-path, dual-path and quad-redundant technology.

BELOBOX has sold the same 1.2 gigabit, real-time, fiber-optic network product based on fiber-channel technology for 25 years for flight simulators, steel mills, power plants, flight test facilities, and ship self-defense systems.

The US Navy was an early adopter and a major customer using BELOBOX products in the F-18 Flight Test Center at PAX River.

BELOBOX products are currently deployed to approximately 12 CVN, 8 LHD, 8 LHA, Aircraft Carriers and numerous NATO ships around the world.

This network integrates the Sea Sparrow Missile System that is an integral part of the Ship Self-Defense System.

This product was the only gigabit fiber-optic network available in 1997 when it was first deployed to the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) and is still operational today on all nuclear-powered aircraft carriers including the USS Ronald Regan (CVN-76), USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), and USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78).

BELOBOX fiber-optic products are no longer manufactured and BELOBOX Networks is NOT open for business to new customers.

The business exists purely for technical support, repairs, and the sale of current finished goods inventory as spares for our remaining customers, primarily the US Navy’s Aircraft Carriers.
